Yay =]

Thank you, [info]sapphire_child!!!

Click to go to the story.

Characters: Charlie/Desmond. As in slash. Mentions of Claire and Penny.
Rating: R
Setting: Sometime after Catch 22 but before Greatest Hits.
Disclaimer: Nope. I own nothing.
Summary: Their relationship has become even more complex.

Note: Not only is this my first R fic, but it’s also my first slash fic. Yeah, kids these days. I wrote it in about…hmm…an hour? So yeah. It’s like, a page and a couple paragraphs in Word. Right now, it’s looking to be just as it is. But if I feel inspired to continue it, I will. Also - the title is a reference to my line in the second paragraph, if you don’t catch that. It’s kind of an awkward title if you don’t get the (slightly raunchy) meaning of it.

Kahana
Part One/???

Characters: (Part One) Charlie, Desmond, Sayid, Claire, Hurley, Charlotte, Daniel, Frank, Jack, Locke.
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I own nothing. As usual.
Summary: Charlie gets a spot on the helicopter and goes to the Freighter - the Kahana - along with Desmond, Sayid, and Frank.

Note: I really don’t know how long this will be, considering Desmond and Sayid haven’t left the Freighter yet. But this basically explores the possibility of Charlie being with them during that time.

=D

I'm writing again! Geez, that was a long break...(sarcasm.)

And I actually have two stories I'm going to start. One is a sequel to Come Back And Haunt Me, for the [info]charlielives challenge.

And the other one is just for fun that'll probably be a multi-part story. Thanks [info]alixzin!!! You know, I thought of doing that but I just forgot about it until you reminded me with you comment. I'll probably start it tonight =]

In other news, lunch with the girls was fun.

A sugarglider peed on me.

Stephanie's house is a fucking zoo.

And I held her rats...you know...I like to think that I'm not a girly-girl...but when I have rats crawling on me...it does result in me screaming. But they weren't so bad.

Date of Execution

Characters: Paul, Brutus, mentions of Dean, John Coffey, and Del.
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I do not own The Green Mile or Stephen King.

Summary:“I can’t take it anymore,” Dean tells me, wiping his eyes with the back of his sleeve. I am sitting at my duty desk, signing his transfer papers. Warden Hal has already signed them, I notice. Now I have to. I wish I didn’t…but I know E Block is too much for Dean. He’s young. With children…a wife. He should be allowed out of this while there’s still a chance. Before he has time to end up like me.

I know,” I tell him quietly, signing and pushing the paper across the desk to him with a slight smile. “Take care of yourself, Dean. Don’t let no Wild Bills wrap their wrist chains around your neck again, you got that?”

Dean actually laughs slightly and picks up the paper, glancing it over as if to assure himself that my signature is actually there. Whether he wants it to be there or not is beyond me.

It was like signing his Date of Execution.

Note: I’m stepping out of my Lost comfort zone a little. This explores Dean’s death that was briefly mentioned in the book and not mentioned at all in the movie. I always like those doomed characters.

So Ohio has a bit of a blizzard going on here.

I was reading cancellations and I misread something...I thought one cancellation said: "Saturday is canceled."

Then the news went on at the bottom of the screen and I was like "..." I thought the world was ending or something. So I sat there and waited for the news to come around again, as it does when it's on the bottom of the screen. All in alphabetic order and such. And when it came back around it was just the name of something that was like...Sauraday or something equally stupid. I was worried about Saturday for a second.

So I was looking at Dominic's photography.

I. Love. This.
Compete with the black hoodie, scratches and blood, and the DS ring. It's perfect. And I like the camera.

And this picture he took in NYC:

Reminded me of one of MY pictures from NYC:

So we're basically soul mates. That settles it.

Or taking pictures of NYC in the dark just sucks and they all turn out like that. There's always that. :-)

I still can't get over how amazing that self-portrait of Charlie is. It's fantastic.

And...[info]sapphire_child continues to make lovely banners...

You can click to get to the story. Easier than posting all the old info about it.

I've reposted this fic like a million times. So here it is again 'cause ELLIN ([info]sapphire_child) IS AMAZING. Seriously, when do you have time to, like, live?! Your graphic skills amaze me.

From This Christmas On

Rating: PG
Synopsis: Charlie's first Christmas on the Island. Written for the Christmas Challenge on [info]charlielives and [info]lostfichallenge.[info]

So someone out there thinks I'm a decent writer and nominated No Recognition for Best Series.

Funny. I just saw it in my flist and that there were new nominations, and I was like "I'll check it out just for kicks." And, there it was. So maybe something other than Big Island in the Sky will be praised.

I was also considering going back and reading over NR. I had such a great time writing it. But whenever I go back and read fics of mine that are a few months old, I get all self-critical and wonder why I added a line or why I included this or that...or that makes the story stupid. Etc. etc.

Anyway, drop it a vote if you will. Thanks to whoever nominated it!

Downfall

Characters: Jack. Mentions of pretty much everyone else.
Rating: PG-13 for one word and substance abuse.
Disclaimer: I do not own Jack, because Jack owns everyone.
Summary: The names of everyone else…everyone he had spent time with…cared, saved, possibly loved…they were like characters from a novel he had read several times. They didn’t seem to exist. Just faint images in his memory. He had made them into those fictional characters. He wasn’t even sure what they looked like anymore.
Warning: Spoilers for Eggtown and speculation for a possible death in 4x07. Most of this is just speculation, though.

Note: Rumor has it I like my Jack nice and messed up. Rumor also has it that I can’t go one story without including Charlie in some significant way. It’s true, guys. It’s true.

Come Back and Haunt Me

Characters: Claire, Miles, Kate, Hurley.
Rating: PG
Setting: Season four, sometime after “The Economist.”
Disclaimer: I do not own Lost or the amazingly relevant lyrics of Coldplay.
Summary: Miles reveals something shocking about Charlie.
Note: The lyrics at the beginning and end are both Coldplay songs - “The Scientist” and “Swallowed in the Sea.” I thought they both pertained to this story. And they’re both bloody amazing songs. The title of this story is actually a section from “The Scientist” so yeah. This is my first season four fic!

"I Don’t Swim."
Part Two of Two

Part One

Characters: Jack, Charlie (pt.2), Desmond (pt.2), Mikhail (pt2.), Sayid, Ben, Hurley, Claire, Naomi.
Rating: PG-13
Setting: Through The Looking Glass
Disclaimer: Don’t own. Wish I did, ‘cause then I could make Jack amazing.
Summary: After Jack faces guilt for sending Charlie to the Looking Glass, Ben sends him over the edge and he decides to go down himself…and ultimately change the events that were fated to happen there.

Note: This is based on the impossible notion that - brace yourself - Jack cared about Charlie while he was RISKING HIS LIFE in the Looking Glass. I know it’s hard to wrap your minds around that concept. I feel like erasing his line in The Beginning of the End - “All I care about is missing the rescue boat.” Oh yes, Jack. You just reached your all-time low with the Charlie fans when you said that. Anyhow - I like making Jack human like he was in S1. But seriously…he needs to give me more to work with. (Maybe I only like him in S4 because I get to see him suffer in his flash forwards.)

(So about the banner. Jack's face never seems to fit on anything right...even though I'm careful not to distort it or warp the size. It's because he's not wanted. :]  Oh...and Charlie has very pretty lips. I realize things like this when I work with images.)

He Returned Changed
Part 3/3

Part One

Part Two

Characters: Charlie, Claire, Hurley, Desmond, Sayid, Sawyer, various Losties.
Rating: PG-13
Setting: Beginning of S3
Disclaimer: I don’t own Lost. I keep asking and they keep saying no. It’s a sad thing.
Summary: When Charlie starts having visions of his fellow survivors deaths, how will he cope when he suddenly becomes everyone’s personal hero? And what will Claire think when he suddenly has no time to be hers any longer?
Note: Again - PaceJunkie owns the bunny! This started out with me talking about doing a fic with Charlie having visions of Desmond’s death, and she stepped in, helped me jazz it up a bit with multiple death visions and some CC and this is what it became! This is very AU for the sake of storytelling. Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley never left for the Others and Michael isn’t going to be mentioned. And Sun, Jin and Sayid aren’t on Des’ sailboat. The whole group is together. Also - Eko is killed off in the same way, but at a different time. You’ll see. It’s just to make the story flow easier.

I'm currently working on my last fanfiction (for awhile). I'm going to take a brief break after this fic. (unless [info]pacejunkie continues to shove AMAZING bunnies in my face.) Maybe after the eight episodes of S4 air I'll start up again. We'll see. I'll stick around here, read other writers' stories and do what I normally do. I just randomly ran out of ideas so I just have to think about it all for awhile. I was co-authoring with a writer I've worked with before that doesn't have an account here, but that fell through for various reasons. (We decided we didn't like the bunny after we started, in short.) But I was thinking about bringing that back and altering a few things. We'll see.

Anyhow - this new fic will be either two or three parts.

Thought I'd make a quick list of all the fics I've written so far in 2008 in case anyone desperately wants to catch up.

On The Other Side
Part One - Part Two - Part Three - Part Four - Part Five - Part Six - Part Seven

Note: I'm quite proud of this fic. Thank you, [info]pacejunkie! I stepped out of my Chesmondness comfort zone and wrote for characters I've never really attempted. I had fun with the tailies! I loved going back to the S1/S2 days. It was a nice breath of fresh air. Happy endings all around!

Not Penny's Boat

Note: Eh. I'm so-so about this one. I felt it was a little dry and the ending provides some hope, but it wasn't necessarily a happy ending. People said my Jack was spot-on, so that's good. I was also told it was a good action fic. I feel like I didn't bother too much with the characters and focused more on the action. I guess I get that from Darlton. Anyhow - it's Chesmond along with Churley and CC so that, if anything, is good.

Halls of Shambala

Note: I had the time of my life writing this fic and I love how it turned out. It was one of those stories that I couldn't stop writing and that's just great. I love when I can do that. I think every writer starts fics and has a hard time finishing them. Been there, done that. Glad this one wasn't one of them because this is a personal favorite of mine.

Replacement

Note: I secretly adore Chate, but I wanted an in-character way to introduce it. And, according to reviewers, I pulled it off. I wrote this one for the Unconventional Pairings challenge and although it wasn't a winner, I'm glad I wrote it. It was fun.

Cold Reading

Note: Definitely liked writing this. I like writing for Liam, and writing for Richard for the first time was fun, as well. I wanted to establish a connection between Charlie and Charlotte and the challenge at the charlie!lives group (Strange Encounters) is what inspired me.

Brothers

Note: I love the fact that Jack and Charlie would've been unofficial brother-in-laws, assuming Jack finds out he's Claire's brother. It would've been a great way for them to bond like they did in season one. So, I took flashforward crazy-Jack and a married-to-Claire Charlie and this is what happened.

Six stories - not bad for January 08. One of which was a chapter story. In general, I'm proud of all of these.

I'm deathly ill. (Ok, I sneeze every now and then and I have to get up to blow my nose every two seconds.) But, my cold is a blessing in disguise because I was able to finish this final installment in one sitting. I'm telling you...this story is cursed, though. When I shot Charlie and had Sawyer dig out the bullet...I went downstairs to take a break and ended up stepping on a piece of glass...and...had to dig it out. And when I write the chapter that's centered around Charlie being sick and infected...I get sick and infected. Change a few of the symptoms (and just forget about the bullet wound part) and you've got some creepy parallels. Maybe I should keep my distance from the Scottish o_O (One of my best friends is named Scott. Bwahaa. I'll stop now.)

On The Other Side
Part Seven/Out of seven

Part Six!

Characters: Charlie, Sawyer, Jin, Michael, the Tailies, Walt, appearances from the Losties.
Rating: PG-13
Setting: S1, Born to Run.
Disclaimer: I own nothing. And pacejunkie owns the plot bunny.
Summary: On a search to find purpose, Charlie ends up being the fifth member of the raft.
Note: Very special thanks to pacejunkie for giving me the bunny! This story is very AU, so if you’re a purist when it comes to this stuff…sorry.
