Hi guys. I know I haven't posted the new challenge yet, but I needed to take some time to think about the low participation for the last couple of months and get input from tellshannon815 on the situation.

Honestly, there are any number of things that could be keeping people from entering, but it seems like, with NaNo winding down people might be burnt out, or with holiday exchanges starting up, or with just general every day life, participation isn't likely to go up this month.

So, we're gonna put the community on hiatus until after the holidays. In the meantime, though, I'd really like some input from you guys on the situation. Do you need more time for the challenges? Has there just been way too much time passed since the show went away and you're lacking ideas/motivation? I'd really like to hear what you guys think, because I want to be able to get this community moving again in January.

Last week, me and one of my friends were talking about how we were glad to only have three days of school this week, having off for Thanksgiving, and the day after. In this middle of the conversation, she stops by saying,

"Wait, why do we have off Thursday? I'm pretty sure Thanksgiving falls on a Friday this year."

Recently been reminded of this one:

Three female friends of mine shared a flat in West London. Two of them were single so wanted to find themselves a man each. Frequently on weekends they would go drink at a pub somewhere locally.

After a couple years they were again single and decided to drown their sorrows again. I was visiting and asked if there weren't any nice blokes around the pub, seeing as they must have got to know the regulars prety well by now, going there two or three times a week.

"Oh, yeah, there's lots of guys who seem really nice, but they just never seem to be interested in that way, you know?"
I found this hard to believe, so I asked them which pub it was.
"The Birdcage. On the High Road."

Just a minute. The Birdcage? That wouldn't be the pub on the High Road with all the rainbow flags outside it, would it? And the rainbow pub sign? And the posters advertising AIDS benefits events? And regular drag nights?

Yes, that's the one. Why?
You didn't think that the men there seemed very fond of each other? Holding hands, etc?

Eventually I had to spell out for them in words of one syllable that rainbow decor = gay pub and this might be not the best place for straight women on the pull... I have no idea how they could be so oblivious for so long; one had even gone there with her gay best mate and his boyfriend, and we grew up in Brighton, gay capital of England!

For anyone else who has finished... thumbs up or thumbs down? Did you guess where the dome came from? (Could anyone have guessed that? LOL.) Did you spot any connections to other SK works? (Once again, there were quite a few 19s around.)

First of all, I'm new to this community (I've read a lot but I have never posted) and so far I love all the support that I've seen!

On to my question...So I've been using my Diva Cup for almost a year. I always rinse out my cup in the sink whenever I remove it, however my sink has recently started smelling like the contents of my cup (I know, gross!). Whenever I turn on the water in my sink, the smell comes up and it's not overwhelming (it actually took me a while to identify the smell), but I don't like it!

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it?
